Little Market Nursery is a great environment for children to learn necessary social skills like sharing and communicating.
Children very quickly learn how to interact with their peers, adults and those who are different from them.
Through a variety of structured activities they can be stimulated and educated about the world around them.
One of the biggest benefits of Little Market Nursery is the reliability and accessibility of care.
The Best Care - Little Market Nursery
The setting operates on weekdays and we are open for the whole working day (e.g. 7am - 7pm), and offer full-time care and part-time places depending on your requirements.
Full time care is offered throughout the year and there is also a vast amount of flexibility as you can take a child for shorter bursts, such as a few days a week, half a day or one day a week.
This caters for the needs of most parents whether they work full or part time, or just want to give their child some time to make new friends while having some much deserved time to themselves.
For the really young, nurseries offer continuity while their parents or carers are at work

The curriculum for under fives (Early Years Foundation Stage - EYFS)
The early years foundation stage (EYFS) must be followed by all Ofsted registered nurseries in Romford and sets the benchmark for the education, development and care of children from birth to five years old. Children will on the whole be educated through games and play (see below for specific areas of learning at Little Market Day Nursery Romford).
Children will be assessed by an early years practitioner or health visitor at Little Market Nursery when they are two or three.
It sounds more intense than it is, but it is simply to ensure your child is developing at the right pace and means that if there are any areas they are struggling with, then your child can be given specific help and attention to over come this.
They will then be assessed again by their Key Person when they turn five. None of these assessments will involve tests, they are class based observations based on the early leaning goals which can be found in the early years framework.
The key areas of learning are:
- language and communication
- literacy
- numeracy
- physical development
- personal, social and emotional development
- understanding the world
- expressive arts and design
We know that there are a vast array of cultural and religious groups that create a diverse and vibrant community within Romford, so if an area of learning of the EYFS conflicts with your philosophical or religious beliefs please come and talk to us and we’ll let you know if you need to ask for an exemption.
